However, compared to the bull market period in 2017, the total number in 2019 has decreased by about half. Currently, only 14 independent blockchains are running BTC nodes, while in the first six months of 2019, only 9 new blockchains went live. In the past month, about 900 new chains have been created and new mining pools have been launched, allowing these exchanges and wallets to handle new requests or orders from different customers.
