What’s the craze with digital currency? Nowadays, many people are aware that Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different types of cryptocurrencies. However, these different tokens aren’t technically the same in their essence. For example, Ethereum is a very unique existence (as it is not mined) and everyone hopes to make money or exchange it for another form of cryptocurrency. These digital assets also have advantages: they can be used as a store of value and can be traded or exchanged with anything else. They can also serve as a payment method and even an investment platform, among other things.

Official Launch of Digital Currency

China’s central bank digital currency “DC/EP” officially started circulation on June 28, 2020. This is the first national electronic payment tool launched during the pilot phase of the legal digital yuan (DC/EP), following the announcement by the People’s Bank of China and seven other ministries and commissions.

According to officials from the central bank, “As one of the important strategic deployments internationally, in order to maintain and guarantee the safe and stable operation of the legal digital currency system in various countries, we have decided to accelerate the research and development of the legal digital currency.”
